In our community-based, fully integrated neighborhoods people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) will live alongside non-disabled residents. Our plan enables I/DD individuals to own or rent their homes like anyone else, living as independently as possible.
Residents will be able to receive the level of care and support they need from watchful neighbors, roommates, personal attendants, agencies of their choice, family members, friends, and others.
In our neighborhoods, all residents will help to ensure that I/DD adults live in a safe, socially inclusive, life-long home, with projected savings to the states and the federal government.
